I founded the Argentinian community for AI Safety (https://baish.com.ar/) in July 2024, and have grown it to 350+ community members and a team of 14 volunteers with 6 advisors (and growing). We're now preparing a research fellowship program for 15 fellows backed by CG called AISAR (https://scholarship.aisafety.ar/). I've facilitated over 15 BlueDot courses, TA'd for 2 ML4Good Bootcamps, and I'm now working full-time as a Research Manager Lead at Apart Research. At BAISH, we're considered to be the largest Latin-American community in AI Safety. Some of our directors and members have gone on to work with Redwood Research, 80000 hours, Apart Research, and Epoch AI.
