Warren Smith

Independent AI assurance researcher and founder of OMEGA Protocol. I build and test systems for determining whether AI agents, evaluations and control mechanisms actually do what their assurance claims say. My work combines empirical experiments, formal methods, independent observation and adversarial testing, with an emphasis on publishing bounded and negative results rather than treating successful-looking outputs as evidence. My background spans software engineering, data, finance and audit, and I am a Chartered Management Accountant (CIMA).
