Updated 05/18/26 · By grantmaking.aiGRAIN is a core Odyssean Institute project that applies the Odyssean Process to identify countries and regions with disproportionate influence over food production, energy systems and trade chokepoints, and to design an informal network and policy agenda through which they can collaborate. By mapping comparative advantages, tipping points and strategic chokepoints in global infrastructure and supply chains, the project aims to support preferential trade agreements and joint resilience investments that would help civilisation endure and recover from shocks such as nuclear winter or other global catastrophes.
