However, as this does not meet the criteria for employment, Anthropic was unable to sponsor the prerequisite visa to work in the UK.
L was referred by an Anthropic employee. This support to L would help:
- Faciliate L's AI safety research as an Anthropic AI safety fellow
- Build L's career capital for future AI safety roles
This support would cover the following expenses:
- 440 USD for the visa application fee
- 95 USD for the appointment fee
- 2150 USD for the health surcharge payment
- 1315 USD for the visa processing fee
Totaling to 4000 USD.
This grant is high leverage, as L's pay is funded by Anthropic.
