The Defence AI signal is a publication mainly focusing on military AI developments, funding and risks. We track and map contracts, autonomous systems, dual-use and capabilities to improve visibility into how AI is currently being integrated info defence.

I plan to research and publish monthly explainers, analysis and briefs that simplify technical as well as policy issues to make it accessible for researchers, policymakers, and institutions alike. I intend to magnify upcoming governance frameworks, safety gaps, coordination issues and international challenges.

I lead the project, currently working full-time in Saudi/Bahrain. I intend and plan to work with researchers and policy experts for interviews and review. The solid output will be a series of reports, explainers and year end publication - all for free, available online.

Frontier AI systems are increasingly entering defence and national‑security contexts, where misuse or misalignment could lead to catastrophic outcomes. Yet global governance visibility remains limited, especially outside the US and EU.
