AI risk education to underserved communities

Our objective is to bring a global shift in public understanding of AI risk through accessible content and equip people to make informed choices about AI. We will:

1. Make online and offline content to educate about AI risk and help people have conversations on the subject, targeting the audiences other organisations miss - e.g. everyday people with minimal existing knowledge about AI, especially those in the 60+ age bracket.  

2. Center voices from the Global South in the AI discourse, including collecting and sharing AI viewpoints in Africa, creating AI risk education materials in local languages, and providing employment for young people in the AI space. 

3. Create resources and tools for people, like conversation guides and awareness raising activities, to help spread the word about AI risk so they can have meaningful conversations with their friends, families and colleagues and equip themselves to make decisions about their own future with AI.

All of our content will be underpinned AI risk expertise. We currently have two technical engineers/mathematicians that are filling this role. 

Operating primarily from Madagascar, a low cost nation, even a moderate sized grant will allow us to fund a sizable, talented local team, and deliver results.
