Project Details
Updated 07/06/26 · Edited by orgThis is my request for assistance for my career transition that includes: training, development and execution of a field research project to address the question of, "whether institutional vulnerability to AI-driven power concentration is researchable before deployment lock-in?" It is also a way for me to close a specific experience gap, in that as a former government official I lack the individual field research experience, because all of my work was under the instruction of a governmental agency with a pre-determined position and objective. My goal is to establish myself as an individual researcher and expert with my own voice.
Theory of Impact
Updated 07/06/26 · By grantmaking.aiThe add on project to my personal training aims to reduces AI risk by preventing early institutional lock-in to powerful AI systems, by early identification of areas in which power can potentially concentrate within a governmental system. The goal is to identify governance vulnerabilities before governments become dependent on opaque vendors or infrastructures, preserving the ability to audit, challenge, and replace increasingly capable AI systems. This helps prevent durable concentrations of power as frontier AI diffuses globally.
