AI ≠ Human Time

One of my recurring experiences using AI is producing inhuman amounts of work.

Since 2022, I have drafted legal contracts, designed documents, grant applications, code. The result is output that I have limited personal expertise in.

I have produced significant results, beyond my own abilities.

What helps me honor my own humanity within the work?

I want to explore how to quantify the human output it would take to produce what AI does.

For example, recently I used Claude Design to create a designed workbook based on initial documents and content I had. In about 1 hour of time with AI I had a deliverable document to ship. How long would that document have taken a human designer (expert) or a typical administrative assistant (novice) to create?

I am building a digital intervention that measures AI output to human time because at some point, that number will be too large to close.

This metric would bring clarity alongside a person’s preferred large language model, ideally within the AI tool they already use.
