Equipping our society for people-centric AI transformation
This project will equip community members to navigate their lives and help shape the future of AI in our world.
Our AI Transformation Academy provides an ever-evolving system of training, coaching and collaboration to strengthen our society’s ability to understand the implications of Artificial Intelligence, and empower our community to shape the future of AI in a human-centric direction.
The program contains the following components:
- The world’s leading organizational training and development platform: Cornerstone OnDemand, configured for this purpose and audiences. (Commercial cost ~$125,000)
- The latest training content used by industry – continuously updated to reflect the latest in capabilities and approaches. Participants can receive industry credentials for their accomplishments (Commercial cost: over $62,500)
- Ethical AI training: Led by the Association for IT Professionals, this training will have tracks for youth and adults. It will have specific courses on x-factor issues surrounding AI. It will include asynchronous training as well as live sessions and collaborative projects.
- Collaboration: An ongoing forum for program participants to learn from each other, collaborate on projects to grow and address x-factors, discuss and debate as the situation continues to evolve
- Personalized coaching: Supporting participants with audience-appropriate coaching to help participants stick with their learning plans, acquire resources and become the best version of themselves.
The work stands on the shoulders of our existing work and assets from our organization as well as the assets and expertise of partners and supporters around the globe. Our approach allows us to have scalable impact that evolves as the challenges and opportunities facing our society change.
How the program will be deployed:
Building on our highly successful WorkReady Academy platform, the program will have both open and organization-specific access routes and features.
- Open Site
o Any individual will be able to have an account for free to a public instance of the platform.
- Targeted Groups
o Organizations also will be able to have their own, private instances of the platform. This will provide them with the ability to customize the learning and engagement experience. They will have private communities for engagement as well as student protection, as well as monitor participant progress, incorporate organization-specific content and more.
o Over 50 organizations engage with existing WorkReady Academy assets including:
§ Association of IT Professionals, Boys and Girls Clubs of America, Global Board, United Methodist Church, International Youth Foundation, Tech 4 Troops, Adult Education programs in 4 US States, School Districts, etc.
- Open Source Content
o Ethical AI content built with grant funding will be available in a portable format for organizations to import into their own learning platforms, as desired
