I'm a lawyer who taught myself to write software. It turns out the two jobs are the same job: build a record that holds up when someone hostile starts picking at it. Everything I make runs on free public data, and nothing guesses. If a tool can't verify something, it says so and stops. Palimpsest (palimpsest.info) is a sealed ledger anyone can check offline, no server to trust. It measures what states and AI models erase over time, the deletions that never get announced. Right now I'm extending it into a registry for AI evaluations, so a result can be proven untouched since the day it was published. Seiche is the other one, a forecasting terminal that publishes its own misses and keeps a dated record of every call it made, wrong ones included. AI is fast becoming the main way people learn what's true. I want the record underneath it to stay honest.
