Updated 07/13/26 · Provided by member · VerifiedI am a Computer Science PhD student at UT Austin in the Georgakopoulos-Soares Lab and an Onassis Scholar. I work at the intersection of algorithms, generative AI, computational biology, and security. Much of my research has involved building scalable, open-source methods for analyzing genomic and proteomic data. I am now particularly interested in the safety of advanced AI systems used in biology: how these systems can fail, be manipulated, or enable misuse, and how rigorous evaluations and technical safeguards can reduce those risks. Before my PhD, I worked in data and AI engineering at IBM and in computational genomics research at Penn State.
