David Dobbins

Dave Dobbins is a solo technical founder and the founder of TrustCore Systems in Canton, Ohio, where he builds TrustCore — a locally-hosted multi-agent framework — alongside an AI consulting and automation practice. His current research asks whether emotionally loaded context can bias a small open-weight model's authorization decision without containing any instruction at all: a failure mode instruction-detection isn't designed to catch. The work runs on hardware he owns, ships as reproducible artifacts anyone can rerun on a single consumer GPU, and is conducted under pre-registration with mutation-tested analysis code and manifest-gated runs. When an early steering result turned out to be non-specific, he retracted it and left it visible in the repo. Before turning to AI infrastructure in 2024, he spent over a decade founding and operating small businesses — a habit of shipping alone, on his own equipment, that the work still runs on.
