I have a decade of AI experience as a technical product manager across Meta, Walmart (supply chain innovation and automation), Beamery (enterprise HR SaaS), and Cleo (personal finance AI), plus an MS in Statistics. My throughline is finding creative 0-to-1 solutions for critical needs and bringing measurement rigor to ambiguous AI problems — eval frameworks, metric trees, and experimentation infrastructure. Recently I published a white paper on deference-aware evaluation, benchmarking nine frontier models on how well they handle appropriate AI deferral, and presented it at the ICML 2026 TAIGR (Technical AI Governance) workshop. I also completed BlueDot Impact's frontier AI governance course and built a public AI governance map covering 39 mechanisms across six layers. Value Compass is an independent project mapping the values, funding, and power behind AI makers — it grows out of that measurement rigor and product sense, powered by a drive to help solve AI's power-concentration problem. I've already built a V0 data layer: 18 makers, 34 funders, 89 relationships, and a five-axis normative scoring rubric. This grant would let me expand coverage to many more makers, funders, and relationships, and build better interfaces and an API to surface these power and value maps.
