Jared Glover

Jared Glover is the CEO of CapSen Robotics and founder of CapSen AI. He holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from MIT, where his research focused on probabilistic methods for robotic perception. He has over 10 years of experience deploying AI systems in industrial production environments across the automotive, pharmaceutical, nuclear, and steel industries — experience that grounds this research in the practical realities of consequential AI deployment. CapSen AI's founding vision is that safe AI requires more than behavioral guardrails — it requires understanding and shaping what happens inside the model during inference. Glover's recent work has pursued this vision through two complementary lines of research. The first demonstrated somatic marker analogues in language models — showing that activation-level emotional memory improves decision-making and generalizes across model scales from 1B to 27B parameters. The second demonstrated an activation-level deception detection and correction mechanism that overcomes prompt-injection attacks, raising honesty from 0-7% to 77-99% on Gemma-3-4B/12B/27B and Llama-3.3-70B. 650+ citations (Google Scholar). 20 publications including RSS (Best Student Paper Finalist), ICRA, IROS, AAAI, and IJRR. Research collaborations with MIT, Carnegie Mellon, Ohio State, Purdue, and USC. Jared is also a composer and the grandson of Civil Rights activist Rev. Robert Graetz.
