After graduation, she was a software engineer in companies such as JP Morgan and Thought Machine. She eventually joined Bluedot's Technical AI Safety course and connected with Julia Bossmann, who is now advising Huey on building SRIE as a way to support mathematics students to conduct impactful research in industry, including AI Safety.
